After Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the latest series of drastic measures to counter the coronavirus outbreak, including the banning of non-essential travel, and the endorsement of the states issuing their own border-shutdowns, the AFL felt that the season had to be postponed. Learn more.
On Monday 18 May, the team resumed training under strict protocols. The game against Richmond on Thursday 11 June (Round 2) will be the first the team will play after the 2020 season was suspended due to the impact of COVID-19.
For cancelled events, the Magpie Army who purchased tickets will receive a refund from the ticketing vendor. i.e. Ticketmaster and Ticketek.
